Mandatory Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Appointment

First Name Last Name, we are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to participate in a job search assistance program designed to help those receiving unemployment in their journey back to work. It is called the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program.

As part of the program, you are scheduled for a mandatory, online appointment to help with your job search.

You will receive a Zoom or Microsoft Teams link in your personal email a few days before your appointment.
Important: Failure to attend this appointment and complete the required activities may affect your eligibility to receive unemployment benefits.

What is a RESEA job search assistance appointment?

This appointment is designed to help you find a job. You will meet online with an EDD employee who is experienced in helping job seekers, like yourself, create a reemployment plan and find your next job.

You will:
  • Learn about available reemployment services and job training opportunities.
  • Discuss your current work search efforts.
  • Receive personalized guidance on how to find a job. This includes, how to improve your résumé, how to
    find the right job opportunities, and more.
  • Create and commit to a reemployment plan with the help of an EDD employee.
  • Be required to schedule at least one additional career service appointment to help with your
    reemployment needs. You must complete the additional career service appointment within 30 days after
    this appointment date.

How do I log in to CalJOBS?

Existing Users
If you are already registered, sign in to CalJOBS using your username and password. If you no longer have your sign in information, select “retrieve user name or password.” under option 1 - already registered.
New Users
We started your registration for you. We have created your username and password using parts of your name, Social Security Number (SSN), and birthdate.
Your username is your:
  • Full last name
  • First initial of your first name
  • Last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)
Your password is 8 numbers:
  • Day and month you were born followed by the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).
    Example: Someone with the name Jane Smith, born on July 1, and the last 4 digits of the SSN 1234 would have the below:
    Username: Smithj1234
    Password: 01071234
  • Once logged in, complete your registration information, and create your résumé. Make sure to verify your email address and phone number.

What happens after my appointment?

You will need to attend an additional career service appointment to help you with your job search. You will either have a follow-up session with us or will need to attend a skills workshop. During the appointment, we will ask about your progress towards your goals and offer additional support. During skills workshops, you will learn important skills and tips for your job search like how to prepare for an interview or create a great résumé. If you do not attend this appointment your unemployment benefits may be affected.
