Unemployment Insurance Recipient’s Rights and Responsibilities for the TAA Training Enrollment Verification (DE 3422TAA) for the CTB Program
Although your training has been authorized by an Employment Development Department (EDD) Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Specialist under the federal Trade Act, eligibility to receive regular Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits while you attend training must be determined separately by a representative of the EDD UI Program. As required by California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Section 1326-6, school or training attendance must be reported to the EDD in the week school or training begins while receiving UI benefits. School or training attendance may affect your eligibility for continued UI payments unless you are determined eligible for the California Training Benefits (CTB) program by the UI Program.

If for some reason the UI Program can not complete your CTB approval after the EDD receives your TAA Training Enrollment Verification for CTB streamline, a form will be mailed to you with instructions on what you need to do or you will be contacted for additional information.
